Picture from 1983. On the wall you can see one of my first oil painting on canvas.
Creativity is a large part of my personality and at the age of 65, I have now the time to prioritize my big passion to express myself in different creative projects. Lately, I have also reflected on my life and can now see that my artistic and esthetic capabilities have always followed me in my different phases of life. Drawing and sewing at elementary school inspired me to design and tailor my clothes. Bright and colorful palettes have always been my preferred choice. In my spare time, I also started to paint pictures using oil on canvas.
During my years at University, I continued to paint but the time was limited. When my professional career started in the early 80s there was no room for artistic activities but in my leisure time, I designed and knitted fluffy sweaters in mohair yard always with a special personal twist.
For many years to come, I combined my demanding professional career with family life becoming the mother of four children, two boys and twin girls. During these years my creativity was key in handling all challenges in life.
When the iPhone was introduced with the camera, I found great interest in photography and became hooked on photographing nature, especially the sky, landscape, sea view, and flowers. When Photoshop programs became available for private use, I started experimenting and developing photo art.
In recent years I decided to pick up my interest in painting again. Now, when I have unlimited time to focus on my artistic gift, I have attended several courses in Vedic Art principles and have painted several large abstract paintings in acrylic paint on paper. I love to use colorful intense colors with glossy golden pigments, like my painting ”I see I”.
In my day-to-day life, as an open-minded and passionate artist in Southern Sweden, I continue to express my creativity in different ways using various art methods and tools. Through my versatile art, I hope to bring color and joy into people’s everyday life.
Best Regards,
